Welcome everyone to my Blog.  I have not posted for a long time as there was a issue with the blog and I just needed the time to sort it out. Funny how a problem seems so large you have no idea where to begin to resolve it, but given time to think and research the problem it somehow resolves. When you look back you think it wasn't that bad. Well that was how it was for my blog problem, I just kept putting it off and then thought about it and some ideas to look it up on the  internet and then one I decided to fix it using the information I found on the net.

I just love this time of the year , the weather is so nice with lovely warm days full of sunshine and hopefully a few where there is some much needed rain. I have begun ripping out old plants getting ready for some spring flowers and winter vegies.

I am still finding beads in my stash as well as being fortunate to have some jewellery donated which I pull apart and use an odd bead here and there to make a totally new and interesting piece . I really like the idea that I am using up things that I have been saving for a special piece ( you know what that special piece is the next piece as every piece is special , just like every day is a special day - so don't save your good things for a special day,  use it today as tomorrow may not come). I don;t think I will ever get to the bottom of the stash as you always need new things to mix and match to get creative ideas flowing. Who cares as long as you are having fun along the way.

I have made these elegant and simple designs this month , I am pleases that they are also very reasonably priced so as to be accessible to all.

This month I have managed to come up with a new and useful piece of jewellery.

Are you sick of losing your reading glasses? Well this new itemmay be of use to you. You can wear it as a normal necklace as it has a pendant of a fish with a large loop , so you can hang your glasses on when you are not wearing them. They do come in other colours , I just haven't made any yet.

Spring Necklaces - August 2011

Last month I stepped outside my comfort zone and attended a new market called "The Way We Wear Fair" where there were vintage fashion and jewellery as well as other items. There was also a display of "Titanic Era" clothing and artefacts. Well I had such a fun time and I think I gained some new inspirations from the exposure to things from that era of 1930's - 1960. I have always created timeless pieces that have an old charm feel to them and will continue to do so. It will be interesting to see how the new designs evolve as now selecting the beads now include looking for beads that have a vintage feel to them.

Here is the first piece I made after attending the fair.

This Necklace has been made after pulling apart a pair of over the top earrings, to create this elegant piece.
